Don't Miss Out On The Transport Planning Event Of The Summer!!

21 June 2019/Categories: PTRC News

Now in its 17th year, The Transport Practitioners’ Meeting (TPM) is the annual meeting place for all transport planners, modellers, highway engineers, placemakers and urban transport designers. Organised by PTRC Education and Research Services, a company within CILT(UK), the conference the conference offers a fantastic opportunity for practitioners to discuss, debate, share best practice and network with their peers. TPM is returning to Oxford 10 – 11 July 2019!

This year’s conference features two plenary sessions, ten hands-on workshops, over 100 paper presentations, numerous poster projects and some very fun PechaKucha presentations to close the event. With topics ranging from Streets for People to Freight and Logistics, there is a seminar for everyone!

In addition to the networking opportunities available during the day-time conference, there is also a fantastic social programme available to help facilitate those candid conversations.

For the Pre-Event Social, join PTRC for a walking tour through historic Oxford. This tour will visit the major sites of the city and give you a brief history of transport planning in Oxford. We will conclude the event at a local pub for a chance to catch up with old friends. Spaces are sure to fill up, so be sure to register today!

The annual TPS Sponsored Networking drinks will take place this year at the Cherwell Boathouse. This casual event gives you opportunity to socialise with peers in a friendly and relaxed environment. We then transition to the Tracsis Sponsored Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner. Join peers and industry experts as we recognise thought leaders in the profession over a glass of wine and some nibbles.

Transport affects everyone in many ways so having a clear understanding of the issues is very important.  TPM will be informative, stimulating and is your chance to offer your views in the ongoing debate.
