TPM 2014

30 November 2013/Categories: PTRC News

I remember presenting my first paper at TPM back in 2008 as a graduate Transport Planner. Being pushed by my boss to submit an abstract … my surprise at being selected … the nerves on the day presenting in front of a room full of experts … and then the relief that it was all over! However, when the ‘thanks for listening’ slide appeared, instead of jeers of derision, attendees asked interesting questions. We were able to explore the ins and outs of the project, I was able to learn from them and them from me. It was a great experience and one that I remember clearly to this day. I must admit my memory of the conference dinner is a little blurrier!

So now it’s your turn! Submit an abstract to the team at PTRC and you could be presenting at TPM 2014. It can be on an interesting project you have been involved in, a think piece, local transport issues or national projects -- any topic or project that you think others should know about.
