TPM Call for Papers Deadline Fast Approaching

11 January 2016/Categories: PTRC News

Having attended TPM for a number of years including events in Manchester, Reading, York, Birmingham, Liverpool and for the past two years in London and having presented a dozen papers and chaired various sessions I can say that it has been a very worthwhile event to attend.  The conference is less formal than some with a strong emphasis on participation by younger professionals alongside those of us who have been around a bit longer.  TPM is an ideal opportunity to gain insights into what other people are doing, to generate ideas and enable new contacts.  For anyone pursuing a professional training scheme or qualification, TPM offers just what is needed to work towards gaining awareness and knowledge of many different topics with a wide array of papers and presentations to choose from.  In addition we will be hosting the annual awards ceremony (nominations for several categories invited) and the conference dinner.

I am very pleased that TPM 2016 will be taking place in Nottingham, a city where some of the transport decisions of the past are being superseded by a coordinated programme of improvement, the most recent and conspicuous being the Nottingham Express Transit light rail extensions.  The city also features not one but two award winning bus operators and is the only place, so far, to introduce a workplace parking levy.  So Nottingham offers a lot to see and talk about.  We hope to see you there and please submit your abstracts by 1st February for consideration – we are looking for contributions from practitioners on a wide range of themes.  Will you share your areas of interest with others?

Nick Richardson

Chair of PTRC Education and Research Services Ltd.
